Jovyshop is a FullCommerce, a comprehensive full-service eCommerce Solution designed to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes. It offers an all-in-one package, encompassing essential features like Site Builder, Payments, Order Management, Inventory Management, and Receivable Management. However, Jovyshop was missing a crucial component- seamless Accounting Data Management. The Clients of Jovyshop expressed the need for automatic accounting data integration solutions, allowing them to sync their eCommerce data with QuickBooks Online Accounting Software, reducing the time spent on manual data entry, and empowering them to focus on business growth.

The Challenge

• Jovyshop was the perfect platform for eCommerce businesses as it had all features like Site Builder, Payments, Order Management, Inventory Management, and Receivables Management.
• However, Accounting Data Management was something that was missing and Jovy’s clients wanted this feature of having automatic accounting data getting synced from the eCommerce platform to QuickBooks Online as it was taking a lot of their time doing it manually. So client decided to get this done so that their users could save their time and invest in growing their business.
• The client team started finding an Accounting Integration company that has expertise in accounting integration, eventually, they got connected with Satva Solutions. After the first meeting, Jovy’s team was confident that we could pull out these QuickBooks Online integrations.

The Key Challenge

• Overcoming complexities associated with the integration process with QuickBooks Online ensures seamless communication and data synchronization.

• There were many scenarios in the eCommerce platform for managing Orders and inventory based on different statuses and mapping that with accounting software was a key challenge.
• “One significant challenge we encountered was mapping the various order statuses in the eCommerce platform to QuickBooks. For example, handling ‘pending,’ ‘shipped,’ and ‘returned’ orders required a meticulous mapping process.”
• There was a point during development when the team had to pause for 3 days and start analysis again for managing Accounts and Cost data as they needed multiple filters to push data in QBO.

The Solutions

• Architectural Design: When understanding all the edge cases our QuickBooks Integration developers team started building a robust architecture. And shared it with the client’s team to validate it, once the team had approval they did field mapping of the FullCommerce eCommerce platform and QBO to sync correct data.
• Field Mapping: After completing the initial architecture and field mapping, the team started developing a middleware that syncs data from the eCommerce platform to QBO and also pushes a few data back from QBO to the eCommerce platform.
• Middleware Development: The dedicated integration team built the middleware in just 6 weeks where it would have taken a minimum of 12 weeks for a new or in-house accounting integration team to understand accounting principles and then go through QBO documentation for integration. The middleware enabled seamless data synchronization between the eCommerce platform to QuickBooks Online.

Results

• This Quickbooks integration service not only solved the immediate problem but also positioned Jovyshop Full eCommerce and its clients for future scalability and adaptability to changing business needs.
